Academic Excellence
Our Catholic schools form children in their faith, prepare them academically, and produce compassionate and engaged citizens in society. What sets the Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic School system apart from every other school system in the country is its success in delivering academic excellence with holistic education and care.
Students in our Catholic schools achieve higher than national average scores on standardized tests like the ACT and ACT Aspire. Our seniors graduate at a rate of 98 percent and of those who graduate, 95 percent go on to college. It’s no wonder the Archdiocese of Chicago has more U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon Award schools than any other school system—public or private—in the nation.
We realize test scores and awards are important measures of performance, but they can only tell part of the story. Each child is unique, and Catholic schools help unlock the distinct interest and talents of each child. Catholic schools teach children about the deeper underlying themes of society, and equip them with the ability to know how their knowledge can better the world around them.
