Priests' Health and Retirement

We are blessed by the men who dedicated their lives to ministry, serving our needs as Catholics from the moment we are baptized until we receive last rites. While our priests are ever-present in our lives, their needs and struggles are often overlooked. Like many Americans, priests face rising healthcare and retirement costs.

The Priest Retirement and Mutual Aid Association (PRMAA) supports the healthcare, wellness, and retirement needs of 500 active and 225 retired priests of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

After a lifetime of service, our priests deserve a dignified retirement that supports their modest daily needs and provides adequate healthcare. Funds raised through PRMAA provides the following:

  • Medication
  • Wellness Costs
  • Nursing care
  • Independent retirement living residences
  • Priests’ pension fund

The Archdiocese is committed to caring for our elderly priests but we need your assistance. Your generosity will not only ensure the health and well-being of our priests but also support their ability to continue meaningful work in our parishes and communities.
