Engage With Catholic Schools

We welcome Catholic school supporters to join us for two annual events that raise additional funds for our schools and bring together a community committed to Catholic education. The proceeds of these events support three important areas of work within the Office of Catholic Schools (OCS):

Emergency Tuition Assistance: These critical funds support families who have experienced a tragedy that has impacted their ability to pay tuition such as death of a parent, a significant health event/hospital stay for a parent, or home foreclosure/homelessness.

Academic Innovation Initiatives: Maintaining the academic excellence of our schools means continually evolving our practices and approaches to teaching and learning.  Funds raised have made two recent initiatives possible:

• i-Ready – Over the past few years, OCS academic leadership has implemented a diagnostic program which is used to assess student learning throughout the course of the year. The data provided through these diagnostics is utilized by teachers to tailor instruction and support to best meet each student’s needs. The program is proving successful, as we have seen significant systemwide growth in both reading and math over the past three years.
• Next Level – This recently developed program was created to support our current school principals as academic leaders. During the 2023-24 school year, 35 principals across the archdiocese will participate in a rigorous, year-long coaching and mentoring program focused on building their skills as academic leaders.

Leadership Development Programs: OCS believes that great leaders make great schools. This means comprehensive support to empower current leaders, as well as building a strong pipeline of qualified future leaders. The Office of Catholic Schools focuses on leadership formation in various ways, including Leadership Days and our Aspiring Leaders Program, which requires funding beyond what the annual OCS budget can support.

The two events that support these important areas of work are Saints & Scholars and Fore The Kids.

Saints & Scholars: An Evening Celebrating Catholic School Excellence
Save the Date – April 25, 2024

Saints & Scholars is an annual interactive event that showcases our distinct Catholic identity and the excellent academic experience that prepares our students for success in high school, college, and beyond. Attendees are welcomed inside our classrooms to witness the incredible learning, talent, and imagination present daily in our Archdiocesan schools.

Fore the Kids
Save the Date – June 24, 2024

Fore the Kids is an annual tradition where we gather our Catholic school supporters for a day of golf, friendly competition and fundraising in celebration of our schools.

Both exciting events offer the chance to participate as a sponsor, advertise your company’s name and/or logo in event materials, and benefit from broad exposure to the Archdiocese of Chicago schools and leadership.
